I am sitting in First class seat 1F on this E170-E175 (?) American Airlines flight bound for Champaign from Chicago. I am not sure what aircraft this is (Embrayer?) but it is old, and the seat configuration in First is 1-2. Very unusual.

Upon boarding we are not welcomed by any Flight Attendants nor is our boarding pass checked so we make our way to our seats. About 5 mins later an attendant comes and asks if we would like a pre-take-off drink and get a berry-flavored sparkling water.

Before take-off the captain announced that as it is just a 31 minute flight, the flight attendants are to remain seated and there will be no service.

So that’s it. We land on time.
