I am sitting in seat 12B, a window seat in the second row of Business Class on this Thai Airways Boeing 777-200 flight bound for Bangkok.

Compared to my previous flight just a few hours earlier on EVA Air, this business class seat is older with less functionality and a recline that just misses a fully flat position.

A non-alcoholic pre-takeoff drink is handed out and I choose a signature Tamarind mocktail. It is refreshing.

Shortly after, and once in the air, the meal service begins and I choose the Chinese main which also comes with bircher muesli and fruit. It is very good.

I start to watch the first episode of Season eight of ‘Game of Thrones’, but quickly fall asleep for the duration of the 3-hour flight.

We land on time.
