Second time here – and although our room is upgraded to a refurbished ‘Cliff Tower’ room which is now modern and spacious, certain things are not working well. For example you need to flush the toilet 2 or 3 times for it to function properly. And the TV channels don’t seem to work. Could call maintenance but its 10pm when I realise this and in bed.
Next morning we have breakfast in the conference room being allocated for breakfast. Not up to 5 star hotel standard. Food is so so; it seems somewhat disorganised. Could have eaten in the new Executive Lounge but decided not to having read reviews on TA.
In fact the afternoon tea and evening canapés had very minimal offerings for an Asia-based Hilton. That being said we did visit after our breakfast and regret not eating breakfast there as there is an a la carte menu and looks awesome.
Service is hit and miss, sometimes staff go out of their way to help, other times they ignore you, heads buried in their mobile phones.
Still, it is a stunning resort with massive potential.
