This is also probably one of the last times I will be here due to my Qantas Gold FF membership expiring at the end of November. So again, I make the most of it and head straight for the bar as I pass through the entrance.

My signature favourite, an Espresso Martini is ordered first, and then I head over to the buffet section where I help myself to a Japanese lunch of ‘Hamburger Curry Rice’ with Japanese condiments and Miso soup.

It is delicious, but I want more, so finish my meal with a slice of caramel cheesecake, a Berry creme brulee with pineapple, and another Martini.

The service here is exceptional – the staff simply come up to me and engage in conversation – “Where are you travelling to?” – “Oh Bangkok, what’s it like?” etc. Really nice and makes you feel so welcome.
