I am sitting in aisle seat 34H, the first behind Smile Class and separated by a curtain on this Thai Smile Airlines Airbus A320-200 Aircraft bound for Bangkok.

Although the scheduled departure is 3.00pm, we depart from the gate at about 2.40pm paving way for an early arrival.

Again the meal service is delicious for a regional airline. Today it is chicken and cold meat with a pea, potato and corn salad, and a delicious banana and chocolate cake. This is followed by a coffee.

Service is swift and friendly enough and I spend most of the flight watching part of an episode of my Chinese drama downloaded onto my iPad.

We land 20 mins early, but it’s a long taxi and a bus to the gate…..
