Flight Review: EK419 – SYD – BKK (Business Class)

I am sitting in the Upper Deck of this Emirates A380 aircraft in seat 15J. I love the 1-2-1 configuration giving me privacy and my own space. My individual minibar is stocked and service begins before take-off with a hot towel and pre-departure drinks. Of course I have the Moet, and a little later an Espresso Martini at the bar.

Our amenity kit arrives and it is different from the one to Sydney, yet stocked with some great Bulgari products.

Soon after we reach cruising altitude more drinks come around with warm nuts, and slowly but surely our meal. I have chosen the Japanese seven-spiced beef Appetizer; Seared beef tenderloin for my main, and Coconut cake for dessert. Paired with a glass of Virginie de Valandraud Saint-Emilion 2008 (Bordeaux). I absolutely do not need any of this and it is pure gluttony.

During my meal I watch the next installment of Planet of the Apes but too sleepy to watch it until the end, preferring to sleep in my fully-flat bed with mattress and cover for a good 5 hours before waking up 30 minutes before landing.

Bliss
