Thanks to a codeshare flight with Virgin Australia and my partner’s Star Alliance Gold membership, I am able to enter this rather large lounge situated before immigration at Queenstown Airport.

We are warmly greeted and find a spot somewhere child-free and reasonably quiet in order to read a newspaper and relax for a while before boarding.

Although there is a reasonable food selection, I am not in the slightest bit hungry so instead go for a Mac’s ‘Sassy Red’ Amber Ale followed by a double macchiato.

The wifi is strong and the overall ambiance is pleasant.

After an hour or so we make our way to immigration.
