At check-in I request an Emergency exit seat and this is given to me with a smile. As I always write, if you don’t ask you don’t get. And that is where the positive of the flight stops.
The flight itself it routine. It’s pretty full and the service swift and efficient. The emergency exit seats make the trip more tolerable but late night short-haul flights are never fun.
I watch the end of the Madam Secretary episode I started in the lounge whilst eating my pizza-wrap thing that is handed out to all economy passengers.
The downfall on what could have been a pleasant door to door flight experience is on landing. Although arriving on time at 9.30 pm, the bags don’t start to appear until almost 10.30 pm – that is almost the time it took to fly from Phuket to Bangkok just to get our bags. And this is a domestic flight! And the old cherry on top is the bus from the plane to the terminal. A good 10 minutes.
Not happy.
