This is my first time flying KLM (I think).
I am sitting in a window seat, 20K, on this 3x3x3 Boeing 777-200 aircraft. I have zero expectations so am excited to see how this flight will pan out.
The first thing I notice is the age of the flight attendants. Somewhat older than the SQ staff, reminding me of Qantas. Wait – there are a few young ones as well coming up from the back…..Age aside, they are very pleasant. Next thing I notice is the actual cabin – massive! Usually there are many ‘zones’ in economy but this seems to be one ‘big zone’.
The AV screen is tiny – half the size of an economy SQ screen, but is is AV on demand. And as it turns out it really isn’t that bad. I watch David Attenborough’s ‘Frozen World’ and then the ‘Formation (?) of Europe’ both fascinating documentaries.
And then the dinner. Delicious! No choice, but the chicken and rice with green beens is in a delicious creamy sauce, with a cucumber salad and delicious piece of cake. A small bottle of red complements this meal well.
Overall a pleasant 2 and a bit hour flight.
