I carefully time my entrance into The Lounge via the T2 Premium Entry so I do not get ‘security checked’ as is often the case. A newbie VA Gold gets the pleasure.

I am excited to try out the new Upper Level lounge an walk up the marble staircase only to do a 180 turn at the top of the stairs when I see it has reached capacity.

Surprisingly, the original ‘Lower Level’ lounge has a few spare seats so I grab one and place my bag on a table, and head for the buffet. My staple as per usual – toast, cheese, hard boiled egg, muesli, and a cappuccino from the coffee cart.
