My Gold OneWorld Status gets me into this lovely lounge at BKK airport. Flying Cathay also helps.

Upon entering I notice the dark wooden hues seen throughout the lounge. It is a mirror copy of many of their other lounges, including my favourite, The Pier, at HKIA.

I make my way to the noodle bar and order fired fish and some Shumai dumplings. Tasty.

Next I move to the cafe section and have some fruit and a Thai milk tea pudding.

Finally the bar and am in two minds as it is only 10.30am. Do I go for the cocktails or Champagne? Best not to at this time of day so I go for a double Macchiato and cookie instead.

Uncharacteristically I use one of the lounge’s 3 MAC computers to do some banking. The wifi is strong and the screens large, making for an unusually pleasant banking experience.

A great lounge indeed!
