Wow – night flights aren’t great at the best of times, but this one wasn’t too bad.

A day before departure I logged into my account to choose my seat and noticed the last few back rows were empty. So I took a chance and reserved seat 54G 3 rows from the back.

And what a wonderful surprise when the captain announced doors are closed that I realised I had 3 seats (the middle row) to myself.

As soon as the seatbelt signs were off, I lay down and fell fast asleep for the duration of the 3.5 hour flight (even skipped my ore-ordered Seafood meal).

Bliss.
