I am sitting in Scoot Plus seat 2H, an aisle seat, in this Scoot Airlines Boeing 787 flight from Sydney to Singapore. I booked this flight on the Scoot website using a 25% discount I receive as a Singapore Airlines Kris-flyer member. Although a budget arm of SQ, Scoot Plus gives you the equivalent of a Premium Economy seat (minus the AV screen), 30 kgs of checked luggage (plus an additional 5 if you are a Kris-flyer Silver member), priority check-in and boarding, a 200 mb internet card to use onboard, and a meal and drink.

As soon as I board and sit down, I fall asleep for an hour until the meal service begins. I have pre-ordered Chicken Curry and Biryani which is quite tasty, and comes with a biscuit, slice of cake, and a Diet Coke.

I have loaded my iPad with the wrong season of ‘Bloodhounds’ so re-watch – few episodes, and then go back to sleep before landing.

We land pretty much on time.
