I find this hotel within walking distance from the airport and to the harbour on booking.com and lock it in for USD29 for a private room with ensuite and breakfast. A bargain.

I check in around 1pm and take a quick look around. The room is simple yet spacious. It has a double and single bed, TV, and bathroom with shower only. The aircon is powerful whichb is a welcome relief from the 30C degree humidity outside.

Breakfast is super simple. Haloumi toast and tea/coffee, and fruit, which is perfect for me as I’ve had an upset stomach for a couple of days now.

This hotel has a 9.5/10 rating on booking.com and I can see why. Friendly service, comfortable rooms, and excellent location, perfect for one night before boarding your Galapagos cruise.
