My partner and I have made the unfortunate mistake of booking a room on both Agoda and Booking.com – and I spend quite a bit of time during this transit stay to obtain a free refund even though it is outside of the cancellation period. Luckily after much debate the hotel agrees to a full refund on one of the bookings. Phew.

About the hotel. It’s conveniently located a few minutes from the airport by car, and is a perfect for a transit overnight to your onward destination.

We are ‘upgraded’ to a room on the 5th of 11 floors and it is very standard with no bath, a small TV, no hairdryer, but a free coke, juice, crisps, and a KitKat.

Our room rate includes entrance to the pool and sauna/steam rooms and gym (which I use), and a fantastic breakfast.

The staff are Philippine-friendly, and all in all it’s an OK stay.
