I am sitting in emergency exit seat 41D on this EVA Air Airbus A330-300 flight bound for Taipei from Denpasar.

Shortly after a delayed take-off we are offered a drink and mixed nuts. This is shortly followed by a choice of Beef Lasagne or a chicken dish which I order and then quickly regret as it is tasteless. Even the Magnum ice cream that follows is rock hard.

For most of the flight I watch downloaded episodes of Emily in Paris Season 5, and a movie – The Roses.

We land a bit late.
