My Platinum Amex card gives me access to this lounge hidden underneath the hustle and bustle of the terminal, nearby the Emirates lounge.

I don’t have much time but it is 6.45am and I’m hungry so go straight to the bar and order a decaf mocha which is great, and some breakfast items from the buffet – sausage, scrambled eggs, roast potato, and baked beans. It’s all very tasty and hits the spot.

The lounge is playing Phil Collin’s through the sound system, and overall the ambiance is set up well for this time of the morning.

There are a few groups of travelers here but generally quite quiet.

Shortly after eating I make my way to the boarding gate. It’s literally a breakfast stop for me, before my 9 hour flight to Singapore.
