I am sitting in Business Class seat 18F, in this Singapore Airlines B787-10 aircraft bound for Taipei from Singapore.

The seat is identical to the one coming to Singapore. The only difference is the menu – and I have pre-ordered Lobster Thermidor from the ‘Book the Cook’ 🧑🍳 menu.

Prior to take-off a hot towel and drink service is offered. I decline a drink but my partner, who is celebrating his 50th birthday 🎉 has a champagne.
We leave the gate on scheduled departure time, and the lunch service begins, starting with a mocktail for me and some nuts. This is followed by a hot smoked salmon with mango salsa appetizer, the lobster main, and an ‘Ondeh Ondeh’ cake and cheese platter for dessert.


It’s my partner’s 50th birthday on thai flight and we are given a birthday cake and 2 glasses of champagne – a nice touch.

Service overall is superb.
We land on time.
