Well it seems that Gold Hhonors membership has its benefits! We are staying at this hotel (our 3rd stay) for 3 nights and have been upgraded to the King Majestic Suite on the 3rd of 5 floors of the hotel. Usually Suites are reserved for Diamond members but I guess we are very lucky this time.
The two-room, 2-bathroom suite is huge, elegant, but very old school. Heavy, clunky door handles and bathroom taps, claw-bath. The TV in the main bedroom doesn’t work and the light switches a bit hard to find and navigate.

We are given Executive Lounge access with our room, and have dinner there twice during our stay – the food and service very good.
Breakfast is very Indian – hierarchical order of serving staff; lots of choices to take from the buffet and order-to-cook.
The gym and spa facilities are tired, as is the pool – in desperate need of attention. Overgrown grass, no sun lounges.
Service though is excellent throughout. You are made to feel very special.
There is a newly built Hilton Garden Inn nearby. I can see a bit of competition starting.
