I am sitting in business class seat 4A on this Turkish Airlines 737-900ER flight from Zurich to Istanbul. It has very old school recliner seats with as far as I can see no AV screens unless they are tucked away in one of the armrests. (I later realize they are 🥹).

The departure time is delayed and we board after scheduled departure time. Service before take off begins with a drink. It’s a rose-berry juice whatever that is.

Next the menu is handed out and I choose the beef cheeks. I actually want the sea bream but fish is generally a bit hard and chewy on flights. The beef though is so tender and the polenta is delicious. The beans don’t work though.

For the remainder of the flight I watch some programs on the entertainment system and rest a bit in the recline position (no fully-flat bed on this flight).

We land close to scheduled time.
