I am sitting in business class seat 5A, a window seat, on this Swiss Airlines Airbus A320 bound for Zurich from Athens. This is ‘intra-European’ business class which means 3 economy seats with the middle seat blocked off. There is no AV, WiFi, or USB charging ports 😳. The cabin manager introduces himself to the cabin and I notice he has an earring and visible arm tattoos – something I have only seen on Virgin Australia years ago, and most airlines I’m guessing wouldn’t allow.

Shortly after take-off a friendly flight attendant comes around an asks us if we would like dinner. I say “yes” and she tells me my choices are beef tenderloin with potato or pasta stuffed with spinach and ricotta. I go for the beef. Prior to that though, a drink service comes, and the earring/tattoo male flight attendant hands me some pretzels and an alcoholic-free beer. It’s delicious.

The meal is presently nicely but to be honest I’m not really hungry as I ate in the lounge prior to boarding. The beef tenderloin is a bit red for me; I prefer my beef more cooked. The lentil salad doesn’t work for me. But the pistachio cheesecake is good. I also get a hot chocolate- well, it’s Swiss Airlines after all 😂.

Overall it’s a fairly pleasant flight and I spend the majority of my time looking out the window – it’s a gorgeous view.
