Riad Review: Riad Bayti, Marrakech

This is my first ‘Riad’ review, which is essentially a guesthouse in Morocco. It’s situated in the middle of the Marrakech Medina in the Old City, and breathes life from the days of the Sultans and Lawrence of Arabia.

Our room, booked on Booking.com with a guest rating of 9.5 out of hundreds of reviews, is on the second floor overlooking the inner courtyard with a plunge pool below. The room itself is basic, with no amenities such as TV or kettle to boil water, but it is perfect to detox for a few days.

A non-used plunge pool

Breakfast is served each morning in the courtyard and is a hearty one at that, with a variety of breads, jams, eggs, tea and coffee.

The staff here as super friendly, in fact everyone in Marrakech (so far) are incredibly hospitable.

For a 3 night stay, I recommend this Riad.
