Hotel Review: Furuma Ching Mai

My partner has booked this hotel on Agoda. It’s very centrally located to Nimmen St where all the nightlife and action takes place in this sleepy town.

The hotel is old and it hasn’t seen an upgrade for a good 20 years I’d say. Nonetheless most things work, and our room on the top (17th) floor is huge – about 80sqm, so that makes up for any shortfalls.

A lot of dead space
More dead space 🤣

Shortfalls? There are a few. Service for one. Non-existent at the front desk. A THB300 charge for an additional keycard for a 2-person room, rundown facilities like the pool and gym. One pool and restaurant is even closed for over 6 months for ‘repairs’.

But even so, like I said it’s a very convenient location and the room is huge, so for the price (about TWD8000 for 4 nights in high season) it’s an OK deal.
