I was excited seeing a new Hilton property in Bangkok so book a room for this stay.

A mistake.

The upgraded room, although very large at around 60 sqm is dark and has no view. It is supposed to be a serviced apartment I guess but it is very uninviting. It seems to be a very cheaply, hastily put together room with poor quality fittings and appliances. The bathroom smells of urine, the water from the shower doesn’t go down the drain, the towels are like rags.

The gym has broken equipment. The pool is in need of refurbishing. The steam room doesn’t work. The hallways full of crap.

Breakfast is mediocre at best. Dirty surfaces, stale bread, lukewarm ‘hot chocolate’.

And the service is nothing special – not like your typical Hilton family hotel.

Won’t be staying here again.
