I am sitting in seat 11F, the first row of Business Class, on this Thai Airways B777-300ER flight bound for Bangkok from Taipei. The seat is ever so slightly older than the recent Business Class Thai flight I took from Sydney to Bangkok a couple of weeks ago but it is still comfortable with all the trimmings.

Shortly after takeoff the hot towel and drink service comes around. I have a purple pea-flower lemonade. Then the main meal – I choose the Beef Cheek and it is delicious.

I had planned to watch a movie but I am so full I suddenly become extremely tired so press a button and voila – my seat is now a fully flat bed and I sleep for a good 90 minutes of the 3.5 hour flight.

We land on time.
