I am sitting in Economy window seat 26A on this EVA airlines Boeing B787-10 flight to Sydney from Taipei.

For some reason the seat feels a little narrower than usual and when I pop my seat back a touch, I am asked to put it forward by the cabin attendant ‘as per company policy’ – hmmm don’t quite understand that, but apparently the guy sitting behind me complained.

About 20 minutes into the flight the drink and meal service comes around. I choose the pineapple beef with rice and a Diet Coke. It’s ok / nothing special.

I watch the 2024 version of Twister, and then stretch out into the middle seat and manage to sleep for a couple of hours.

I wake up and surf the internet for free for 30 minutes before our 2nd meal is served – a pasta dish with cheese, crackers, and fruit. It’s ok.

After a 7 and a bit hour flight, we land pretty much on time.
