I am sitting in window seat 32K on this STARLUX Airbus A330 Neo flight from Taipei to Phu Quoc.

The cabin is very clean and the plane is obviously new. This is a Peanuts Snoopy flight and there are a number of peanuts-related paraphernalia such as the boarding pass, tray liner, napkins, cups etc which seems to be the reason why so many people are excited being on board.

Lunch is served about an hour into the nearly 4 hour flight and there is a choice of pork and rice or pasta seafood. I choose the pasta and it turns out to be black squid ink spaghetti and it is quite good.

The AV selection is OK – about the same as EVA air. Not too much to watch but spend a couple of hours on a very awesome movie I had never heard of before called ‘Triangle of Silence’. It’s bizarre.

All in all for my first Starlux flight it’s ok. Oh and I forgot to mention – when we left the gate we were waved goodbye by the outside crew / very Japanese 🤣
