Despite its unpronounceable name, this Hilton is located approximately 25 minutes by tram or bus from Helsinki city center. Its location is on the lake and offers two wings one of which has a sauna, indoor swimming pool, and stunning views of the lake. I was lucky enough to view the sunset which was absolutely spectacular and on par with many sunsets I’ve seen on faraway Islands.

Upon checking in, I am upgraded to a king suite which is a huge one bedroom plus separate lounge room, and I’m blown away by the beautiful views that I can see.

Although a Hilton branded hotel there is no executive lounge at that property but diamond Hhonors members are given a bag with goodies; a bottle of wine, some crisps, and a chocolate bar.
I use the indoor warm swimming pool and Finnish sauna and I’m the only one in the whole space making it my own private oasis. I have an early night because I’m tired from all the flying I’ve done over the past few days but in the morning, I wake up refreshed and enjoy my first European breakfast at a hotel, which consist of hot and cold Finnish delicacies, which is delicious. Surprisingly compared to Asian Hilton branded hotels, the offerings are much slimmer.
All in all, it’s a pleasant day, but perhaps I wouldn’t stay here again because it’s a bit far from the city center. It’s more of a place to relax away from the hustle and bustle of Helsinki for a night or two.
