I am sitting in emergency exit seat 60J on this Eva Airlines B777-300ER flight bound for Bangkok from Taipei. I asked for this seat during check-in at the priority check-in lane thanks to my Eva Air Platinum Amex card.
Being an emergency exit seat, it is slightly narrower than normal seats due to the food tray location within the armrests, but the additional leg room is great.

It is a reasonably empty flight with a number of empty rows. If this was a night flight I would have grabbed one but I am not really tired and don’t want to sleep on this 3 hour-ish flight.
Shortly after takeoff the meal service comes around and I have pre-ordered a seafood meal which is delicious – a crab salad entree and a scrambled egg and scallop main with noodles, and fresh fruit for dessert. Not too much but enough as I ate earlier in the lounge. EVA airlines is one of the only ones I know of that serve decaf in the Economy cabin so I get one of those as well from the friendly flight attendant.

During the flight I watch a couple of episodes of THE Australian legal drama/comedy ‘Fisk’ downloaded onto my iPad, and nod-off a bit now and again.
We land on time.
