Hotel Review: Toyoko Inn Higashi Ikebukuro Kita 2

This is the second hotel of my stay in Tokyo and I choose it as I have stayed at this chain a number of times before.

It is basically a blueprint of all the others – compact ‘everything you need in it’ rooms, with free breakfast, which, is not as good as the paid breakfast offered at APA hotels.

I am on the 4th floor next to the elevator and find the room to be spacious and well laid out. The room is not cleaned during my 3 night stay (only after 4 nights) but fresh towels are placed on my door handle each morning.

The coin laundry is super cheap at Y200 per wash and Y30 for detergent plus Y100 for 30 minutes for the dyer. All up about USD2.

No doubt I’ll be staying at one of their hotels the next time I am in Japan.
