Flight Review: SQ877 – TPE – SIN

I am sitting in seat 74H – the second last row right at the back of the plane, on this Singapore Airlines B787-10 aircraft bound for Singapore from Taipei. The seat itself is fine with a large TV screen and millions of things to view for the 4 hour flight.

Shortly after take-off, and after the hot towel service, the meal comes. It is a choice of fish or chicken and I choose the chicken with sticky rice. It’s not too bad. The Blueberry Hagaan Daaz ice cream is a treat. My partner has pre-ordered a Hindu Vegetarian meal which looks good. He also ordered 2 Singapore Slings (one for me) but I only get through 2 sips as I don’t drink alcohol and it tastes gross.

I manage to nod off a few times and watch the latest movie from the Planet of the Apes series – it is ridiculous, but as a kid I was fascinated by the idea of Apes taking over the world.

We land pretty much on time to a very rough landing.
