The Novotel Silom has recently been rebranded as HGI Silom and the rates are very reasonable – I have spent about 30K points for 2 nights which, as an Hhonors Diamond member, includes an upgrade to a King Suite.

The room is huge with a separate living room, 2 bathrooms, and a comfy King sized bed.

The hotel has a gym and pool which I use, and again as a Diamond member I receive complimentary breakfast.

Service-wise, the staff are quite good – smiles from the concierge team and some front office staff, but not from the restaurant.

The location is further down Silom road / tbh not too bad and a cheap grab bike can get you closer to the action in no time.

I think this will be my go-to BKK hotel from now on.
