I am sitting in Economy X seat 4F, a window seat, on this Virgin Australian Airlines Boeing 737-800 flight bound for Brisbane from Canberra.

I was supposed to get a later flight but as I arrived earlier than expected to the airport, I paid a $150 change and fare difference fee 🥹 to get this earlier flight.

The Economy X seat is at the front of the cabin just behind business class and offers additional legroom. As a bonus there is no one sitting in the middle seat.

VA domestic doesn’t offer entertainment screens but instead has WiFi that can connect to your smart device giving you inflight entertainment. I don’t use it and instead watch a downloaded episode of a Korean drama I am currently watching.

Food and drinks are chargeable on this flight but free tea, coffee, and water are provided.

The crew are friendly, the seat is comfortable, and we land in Brisbane ahead of scheduled arrival time.
