I am sitting in aisle seat 58D, opposite the toilet, on this EVA airlines Boeing 777-300ER flight bound for Taipei from Singapore. Again, it is the same aircraft flown over, but this time the seat I have been given isn’t quite as good.

Shortly after takeoff, drinks and packets of nuts are handed out, followed by dinner. There is a choice of fish or chicken, and I choose the chicken which is actually delicious with buttery creamed potato, beans and carrots, a warm bread roll, couscous salad, fruit, and coconut cake which I have with a special order of decaf coffee.

During the slightly over (and delayed takeoff) 4 hour flight, I watch 2 movies. The second one, with Anne Hathaway and Marisa Tomei, ‘She Came To Me’, is brilliant.

Service is brisk and polite and there is little interaction with the flight attendants. We land ahead of schedule despite a delayed departure.
