I have been upgraded again for only $120 for my VA flight back to Sydney from Melbourne and as a result I can use the Virgin Australia lounge at Melbourne airport.

For starters, the food offering is much better than at Sydney, with a variety of salads, dips, falafel, soups, and a pasta dish on offer.

The WiFi is strong and the overall ambiance is classy with lounge ‘chill’ music playing.

The only negative point is the lack of cleanliness – there are a number of used dishes and cutlery all over the place from guests that have left for their flight.

Otherwise all is good to relax and have a bite for an hour or so before my flight.
