I have booked a standard entry level room using cash and points and upon app check-in I have been upgraded to a Skyline View room with Balcony and it is beautifully appointed, with a large balcony overlooking Flinders St station and beyond. The view in the evening is spectacular! The room is a corner view room with Nespresso machine and decaf coffee pods – perfect for me! There are also 2 bathrobes and slippers for use inside the room.

There is a packet of chocolate covered nuts, a bottle of wine, and a welcome letter from the hotel manager waiting for me – the perks of being an Hhonors Diamond member.

The hotel has a functional gym and a restaurant on the ground floor where I enjoy a free and substantial complimentary breakfast – another perk of Diamond Hhonors membership.

The highlight are the staff – fantastic and genuine in their hospitality at all touchpoints throughout the hotel.

Highly recommended and will stay here again the next time I am in Melbourne.
