I am originally sitting in aisle seat 10C on this 2-3 configuration Boeing 717-200 Qantas flight bound for Hobart from Sydney, but when I preset my digital boarding pass, my seat has been changed to 8C. Not sure why but it is slightly closer to the front.

The seat, is well padded but that’s it. No entertainment screen, no free WiFi (even though it is advertised as having it) but strangely there are headphones but no controller. Weird.

The cabin is absolutely freezing for the first 45 mins of the 2-hour flight until a very basic ‘snack’ service is handed out – a lemon cake slice-thing and a drink. I’m starving so ask for another slice.

I spend most of the flight trying to sleep, but it’s too good and uncomfortable so instead the inflight magazine.

The flight attendants are exceptionally friendly.

We land on time.
