I am sitting in seat 44K, a window seat in a 2-4-2 configuration, on this China Southern Airlines A330 flight from Taipei to Canton (Guangzhou). The seat has a touch screen monitor, usb charger, and tray table with built in cup holder. And that’s about it.

Shortly after take-off a very simple meal service comes around – a tiny chicken salad roll and a bottle of water. I decline the water as I have brought my own onboard.

Whilst eating the roll on this short just-over-an-hour-flight, I start to watch ‘Julia and Julie’ and will finish the rest on my next leg.

Although a short flight, the service is exceptional and the flight attendants are extremely friendly.

We land on time and I have a short transfer before my next flight to Sydney.
