I am initially only sitting in seat 40J on this China Southern Airlines Boeing 787-8 aircraft bound for Sydney from Guangzhong. I am super lucky as the flight is only around 70% full so I get all 3 seats to myself for this 8.5 hour flight 🙌.

The flight service begins with a beverage – I have a Sprite, and is soon followed by dinner service – a pork and rice dish with a warm roll and a Chinese dessert. It is really good.

During my meal I watch a great movie – I think it’s called ‘The Father’ and it is brilliant. Soon after I lay out over the three seats and sleep on and off for a few hours until the lights are turned on for breakfast.

Similar to dinner service, drinks are served first – I have a peach juice, before choosing a Chinese dim sum breakfast which is also very tasty.

I start to watch a second movie, “Mrs Harris goes to Paris”.

The service on this flight is just as good as the previous one.

We land on time.
