I am sitting in seat 5H – the ‘Sleep Zone’ at the front of economy, on this Scoot Airlines Airbus 787 flight bound for Singapore, with a short transit before an ongoing Scoot flight to Athens, Greece.

My seat is slightly better than normal economy as the headrest, adjusts, and supposedly there is 30% more leg room. I am dreading the next flight without this extra.

It is midnight when I board and very tired. There is no entertainment nor free food or drinks. It’s late so I don’t need anything anyway and have a bottle of water.

For much of the just under 4-hour flight I try to sleep, although it’s very difficult.

One good thing is we land 11 mins prior to scheduled arrival time.

I brace for the next flight.
