Hotel Review: Hilton Garden Inn Gangnam, Seoul

I book this hotel located in the business district of Seoul, as it has the lowest required number of points for a 1 night stay – and I use cash-and-points to the equivalent of 22K points and about USD85. As a Diamond Hhonors member, I am upgraded to a Deluxe Double room and receive free breakfast for 2.

The room is spacious – 44 sqm of oversized studio with an attached ‘lounge room’ with sofa and working desk on the tenth of 18 floors. There is a Nespresso machine, bathroom with separate bath and shower, and bathrobe and slippers.

The pool has to be booked in 90 min slots and I use it briefly each day (a swimming cap is required) and the small/functional gym I use once.

Breakfast is great – many Korean delicacies (all the ones I missed out on trying during my short stay in Seoul) as well as the normal Western ones.

Great Korean options

All in all it is a good stay but location-wise, unless you are in Seoul for business, I wouldn’t recommend it as it is quite far from touristy attractions in my opinion.
