I am sitting in seat 7G in this Eva Air Airbus A330-300 ‘Bad Maru’ flight bound for Taipei from Haneda.

The seats are in a 2-2-2 configuration and mine is a middle aisle seat with direct aisle access. The functionality of the seat is vastly superior to my previous flight on ANA with more seat movement controls and storage space. It is very comfortable.

Although there is no amenity kit on this short, just under 3-hour flight, there are slippers, a wet towel, thick blanket and larger pillow, and noise canceling headphones. I am also introduced by name from not only the flight attendant but the Head Purser as well. Service throughout the flight is very friendly and authentic.
I accidentally pre-ordered the Western meal during my booking but the flight attendant was happy to change it to the Japanese meal and I am glad she did – it was amazing. So much better and more authentic than the meal on the previous Japanese airline 🤲. I also didn’t want the Japanese dessert so she happily changed it to the Western one which was delicious.

During the meal I started to watch ‘Babylon’ but after eating I was so tired that I slept uninterrupted in the fully flat bed for just under 2 hours. It was great.
