A much smaller version of the traditional lounges we see at the larger airports, Adelaide’s ‘The Lounge’ gets crowded quite quickly and service is somewhat diminished due to the additional pressure the staff may be under.
I fill my pita pocket with Tandoori chicken, sliced cheddar, and lettuce, which I wash down with a small bowl of chicken and corn soup.
Still feeling slightly peckish, I pour myself a glass of a 2008 Barossa Cab-Merlot, fill a bowl with mixed roasted nuts, and plonk myself in front of the computer screen. I have a few pages to print but the printer is not working. The staff at the counter kindly offer for me to send my document to their terminal and quickly print it for me.
Time for a coffee. Again prompt and efficient service by the Barista. Coffee not too bad.
Any minute now the boarding call will sound. Looking forward to going home…
